The New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is just around the corner on Feb. 11-18th, which means fashion’s elite will be scrambling to make sure they make a statement this fall as they reveal their fall 2010 collections. Anybody who is anybody in the fashion world is going to grace us with their presence, from the top editors and buyers to the hottest celebrities and socialites. New York Fashion Week is a time when all fashionistas from all over the world come to get a glimpse at the hottest trends for the upcoming fall season.
As we anticipate New York Fashion Week, we can’t help but wonder what the hottest trends for fall 2010 will be. What trends can we look forward to for the fall season? Here are a few predictions of trends that we should expect to see on the Mercedes-Benz runways. Expect to see bold jewelry make a statement on the runways. Designers from Chanel to Versace are incorporating bold jewelry into their looks in their Pre-Fall 2010 RTW collections. Another trend we should expect to make a statement this fall is the sheer fashion trend. It has already showed itself on the runways for the spring, and expect the sheer fashion trend to make a statement in the fall as well. Designers from Elle Tahari to Alexander Wang are making the sheer trend essential in their fall looks. A huge trend making it’s way on the runway is the belted jacket trend. This trend was all over pre-fall 2010 collections. Expect to see this trend on designers such as Burberry Prorsum, Versace, Donna Karen, Jason Wu, Alexander Wang and many more using this trend. These designers are showing you many ways to incorporate this look into your future wardrobe. Trousers will be a big trend on the runway this fall. You can expect to see the trouser trend in the collections of designers Elle Tahari, Burberry Prorsum, Oscar De La Renta, Rachel Roy, Devi Kroell, Alexander Wang and many more. During fashion week you will see the trousers being displayed in many ways whether they are dressed up or dressed down.
As we go into the fall season we cannot help but also wonder what the color trends will be this fall. You should be on the lookout for neutral colors such as black, white, tan, and grey. Many designers such as Elle Tahari, Burberry Prorsum, Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein, Jason Wu, and Michael Kors are keeping it sleek and chic by making neutral colors the main staple in their designs. In addition, be on the lookout for more vibrant colors such as blue, red, yellow, purple and green in the designer collections of Chanel, Versace, Carolina Herrera, Donna Karen, and Oscar De La Renta. I hope all of you are excited for the New York Mecedes-Benz 2010 Fashion Week and excited to see what trends will be featured this season. Wishing all of you a happy and successful year and decade full of fabulous fashions!
