New “fresh designs hit the runway this spring” for the annual fashion show. Members of the Fashion Network Association and students in Apparel Design and Merchandising at San Francisco State University have been working hard for the eleventh annual fashion show to bring fresh ideas, trends and designs that no one would want to miss.
Runway 2010: Nouvelle will be showcasing more than 200 garments. Wee Scotty, an interactive retail and sewing facility will also be showcasing their designs as well. Designer Lynne Gallagher brings young designers aged 6-13 to Nouvelle by showcasing their work down the runway. A percentage of proceeds will be donated to San Francisco’s St. Vincent de Paul non-profit organization.
All of the committees working on the fashion show have been putting it together nicely and smoothly. It’s all about working together to make it a success. “Now we know we have a show,” says FNA advisor and ADM instructor, Connie Ulascewicz.
Without the designers, models, public relations and promotion, stage and set design, Nouvelle wouldn’t be at this place right now.
As members of FNA and students of ADM are excited, the students SF State are too. It’s a chance for them to showcase their talent and how much they love working in fashion.
Show producer Amanda Villalobos describes the event as “being innovative and projecting a fresh look on student fashions; the event is going to be unforgettable.”
Runway 2010: Nouvelle will be taking place on Thursday, April 22nd, 2010 in the Galleria San Francisco Design Center at 101 Henry Adams St. Doors will open at 7:00 pm and the show will start at 7:30.
