Looking for a pair of feather earrings to go with that vintage outfit you threw together? Perhaps a lime green wig is more your fancy. Bindis anyone? Well, instead of trekking around numerous shops all over the city, head over to 539 Valencia and 16th in the Mission for a wild arrangement of accessories. Now don’t keep walking by because the sign exclusively says “dancing accessories” — Multikulti is the place to find all your ‘glitter and glam’.

This boutique can fulfill your NYX fix. Get the chance to test out this single cosmetic’s brand of eye shadows and blushes to your heart’s content.

False eyelash addiction? There’s one for every day! From your birthday to outlandish parties, even ones for Bay to Breakers (for those of you who don’t mind your mascara running as well).

Go ahead, buy a bundle! Feed your accessory cravings.

Multikulti has both “on trend” and unique accessories, such as the fashionable circular aviator or cat eye frames. Of course, there are the usual oversized sunglasses also. There is even sterling silver beautifully displayed in glass cases.

Want something more unique? You can always pair one of those dancing accessories with your everyday wear. There is an amazing necklace with soft feathers in a color scheme of tan and crème for your everyday casual wear. Then there is the wooden embellishments and suede strips that connect the feathers, completed with silver waterfall chains. The only drawback is that it’s not hanging in your closest yet.

The “dancing accessories” sign is a reference to boutique owner Reda Darwish’s drumming days, which exposed him to a lot of tribal, Bohemian, and carnival influences.

Darwish is also providing accessories for the event, Burning Man, the annual festival that gathers Black Rock City’s dedicated group of artists, self-expressionists in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to create and encourage self-reliance among the community. In other words, Burning Man is an excuse for us to go out in outrageous tutus and fish nets, and put together a flamboyant wardrobe  from Multikulti.

Check out Multikulti and treat yourself to a piece to wear on your next wild night out! Happy accessorizing!
