San Francisco State Apparel Design & Merchandising Presents Runway 2016: Emerge

San Francisco, CA—March 1, 2016. Mark your calendars for an unforgettable night filled with distinctive creations on the runway from San Francisco State’s Apparel Design and Merchandising students at Runway 2016: Emerge. These future designers and merchandisers are rising to inspire everyone with their art, design, and innovation.

Nothing better describes the senior class and all their hard work than ‘Emerge,’” describes San Francisco State Apparel Merchandising student and Fashion Network Association member, Allyson Mercado. “We have all emerged as individuals in this program and continue to grow as we stand by our commitment to be that change our industry needs to sustain the system and the environment.”

San Francisco State University’s Runway 2016: Emerge will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Galleria in the San Francisco Design Center, 101 Henry Adam Street. Doors will open at 6:30 pm and the show will begin promptly at 7:00 pm. Tickets prices are as follows: $10 student standing (with ID), $15 standing, $30 general seating, and $40 premier seating. Runway 2016: Emerge is a collaboration of future designers, merchandisers and Broadcast & Electronic Communication Arts students showcasing the hard work, challenges, and success journeyed as SFSU students. There will be senior collections, innovative wearable technology, and up-cycled garments made from merchandise donated from the University’s bookstore. “It is a creative reflection, environmental alternative, and stylish articulation of what is to be coming to the fashion industry in the near future by these student designers, exclaimed Alexius Baker Co-President of the event sponsor, the Fashion Network Association (FNA).
